Nestlé officially inaugurated its 3rd Research and Development Unit in Dongguan, China, yet another successful project that we have done for Nestlé China.
Nestlé R&D Dongguan center will join other Nestlé R&D units in China, currently located in Shanghai and Beijing. Each is focused on nutrition and health, targeting consumer needs and conducting research on products, development, innovation, and renovation.
Our team of designers, architects, project manager and construction manager worked collaboratively with the engineering experts from the client for 7 months, to deliver a 4000sqm design and build turnkey project for the corporate.
It consists of the state of the art food safety research and development lab, training rooms, multimedia telepresence room, open office, and tasting facility, and break-out spaces as well. Throughout the interior and exterior, pops of color contrasted with gray and white, create visual interest and a bright and open feel. Recessed lighting was places throughout the interior to add to the bright feel, as well as, curvilinear walls create a natural flow throughout the different sections of the facility. The contrast between light and bright elements, such as the furniture and accent walls, with the cooler concrete floors and chrome fixtures create a balance in the space. The combination creates a bright, fun, yet professional working environment, that will hopefully help inspire Nestle’s next great confectionery product.
This is a milestone project for the client and we are happy to be part of this achievement.
